Research - Kitchen Inspiration

We've scrolled through (collectively) hundreds (although feels like thousands) of kitchen pictures from online websites and magazines for inspiration. Hours have been spent at the Home Options Gallery as well as travelling around to every Eden Brae display home in Sydney!

Taking all our research on board, here is what we've agreed on from a colours point of view:

  • Two tone kitchen using:
  • Essastone New Crystal Salt for the stone benchtop
    • 80mm kitchen island
    • 20mm cooktop run and walk in pantry
    • NB: stone is an upgrade we added this to our contract
  • Black glass mirrored splashback
  • Grey floor tile

To view the kitchen from our display home feel free to click through to my previous post from January 'Display Home' which walks you through each of the rooms.

Here are some picture and links to blogs which we sought inspiration from. These ultimately helped us
confirm our final direction:

A kitchen from the Home Options Gallery in Baulkham Hills (Sydney, NSW).
Features Laminex Lustrous Elm for the cupboards.

Essastone New Crystal Salt featured on the benchtop along with Lustrous Elm for the cupboards.

A kitchen built by Metricon, and found on the following blog. We were also planning to use Laminex Lustrous Elm for the overhead cupboards. However have now changed our mind to a 'two tone' kitchen.

A kitchen built by Porter Davis, Drysdale (Urban Mocha). Perfect example of the 'two tone' kitchen with the darker and lighter cupboards.

Such a simple yet stunning design!

A kitchen built by Rawson Homes, Eden 29. This is the closest example to what we are planning to create for our home; grey floors, two tone cupboards, 80mm stone island and black mirror splashback. Gorgeous!

Another view of the Rawson, Eden 29 home. They've done an excellent job with their interior design!

We decided to drive to Homeworld Gledswood Hills, off Camden Way to investigate the Rawson Eden 29 kitchen first hand. We're glad we did as the online pictures are as good as in real life!

Essastone Bone benchtop, Polytech overhead cupboards, mirror splashback, free standing oven and rangehood! Love!

80mm Essastone Bone Kitchen Island. Such a statement!

Clark Monaco Double End Bowl Sink. We're going to have the same!

Another view of the kitchen, such elegance...

Butlers kitchen

The Hettich handle located on the far left closest to the top is our preference (code: 9070750). We have since discovered (and to our delight) this is part of the standard range. For some bedtime reading here is the link to view the complete Hettich Handle Collection.

  1. A kitchen island sydney is a central hub of the kitchen and can serve a number of functions. It can be a functional workstation, a dining spot for family and friends, or a place to store appliances. However, when it comes to designing the right one for your space, there are a few key factors to keep in mind.

If you are looking for kitchen benchtops, shop countertops & vanity tops, come to the AUSKstone Kitchen is the area that you prepare and cook the family meals. However, the days when cooking were the sole function of this room are a distant memory. It is where under some circumstances – the only place that the family will gather together and enjoy something during the day within the home. Unlike bedroom, kitchen is the most frequently used room by all the family members.
